Lesson Plans Scope & Sequence

Time4Learning is an educational system for children with lessons, activities, printable worksheets, learning games, and assessments for a standards-based curriculum from Preschool to Eighth grade. The focus is on language arts and math with social studies and science provided as a bonus.

Time4Learning's educational content is provided primarily by CompassLearning® Odyssey. These materials are known to many under the name: ChildU.

For your planning purposes, we have provided online the scope and sequence for the language arts and math materials from Preschool to Eighth Grade.

For parents to use the scope and sequence as part of an overall way of looking at upcoming lessons and student progress, Time4Learning suggests three steps:

1 Parents can first review the scope and sequence for the appropriate grade level and subject.
2. Parents can preview the upcoming lessons. To preview the lessons, parents should login as a child and put the activity number (the LA) into the activity finder on the Launch page.
3 To see the report on lessons done and progress, the parent should login as a child and look at the reports.

Families can use Time4Learning as a self running learning resource providing core curriculum or enrichment. In the self-running mode, the lessons are provided in the sequence below.

Alternatively, parents can select the lessons that they want using this curriculum guide as a planning tool.

Time4Learning is a new approach to home education. Our online learning materials takes advantage of today's technology. It's a convenient, interactive homeschool resources that helps children from preschool through elementary and middle school. As part of our innovations, we are also looking to equip parents to build a learning community and share their lessons with each other through the new Time4Learning parents forum.

After the login, users in the Lower School will see the Ed Mouse (the Educational Mouse) animation. Then, users arrive at the LaunchPad. On the launch page, on the lower left hand corner, you will see the activity finder.  If you put the LA number into the activity finder, you can access them directly.  For instructions, look at the hints on the Member Login Page.
